I am a senior single parent that adopted my great niece when she was a baby. My partner passed last January which caused financial hardship because we were not married. The following month my mother’s husband passed. She has Alzheimer’s and I am taking care of her as well. We just celebrated her 80th birthday. I am on the verge of bankruptcy. My mother‘s husband‘s children kicked her out of her house because the house was left to them, but they were supposed to let her stay until she passed, but a loophole helped them override that. We live in a very expensive apartment., expensive for us anyway that we cannot sustain. I am looking for enough to catch up on bills and be able to try and get ahead.. I have recently also become disabled therefore very hard for me to work full-time. I have a teenage daughter that is a 4.0 student in high school but has a lot of needs with school clothes and extracurricular activities, etc.
